FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DALLAS (April 2, 2024) – The Community Health Accreditation Partner, Inc., (CHAP) announced today that CC Young Senior Living Home Healthcare has again been awarded CHAP Accreditation under the CHAP Home Healthcare Services Standards of Excellence. This is the third time CC Young has received the CHAP Accreditation.
“We could not be more proud of our Home Healthcare team and this significant accomplishment. The care this team of healthcare professionals provides to our residents and the community at-large is critical and core to CC Young’s mission to serve others,” said CC Young President and Chief Executive Officer Russell Crews. “The CHAP Accreditation is the industry’s ‘gold standard’ and affirms our commitment to delivering the highest quality care and outcomes for those we serve.”
In addition to home healthcare services, CC Young’s Community Services include private care, hospice and palliative care. Each is licensed to serve in 13 counties in North Texas.
CHAP Accreditation demonstrates that CC Young Senior Living meets the industry’s highest nationally recognized standards. The rigorous evaluation by CHAP focuses on structure and function, quality of services and products, human and financial resources and long-term viability. Adherence to CHAP’s standards leads to better quality care.
“By achieving the CHAP Accreditation again, CC Young Senior Living has demonstrated a deep commitment to excellence,” said CHAP President and Chief Executive Officer Nathan DeGodt. “This is the third year CC Young Senior Living has achieved CHAP Accreditation, and we are excited to continue our partnership by offering support in its commitment to providing quality care and continuous improvement.”
CHAP is an independent, not-for-profit, accrediting body for community-based health care organizations. Created in 1965, CHAP was the first to recognize the need and value for accreditation in community-based care. CHAP is the oldest national, community-based accrediting body with more than 9,000 agencies currently accredited nationwide. Through “deeming authority” granted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), CHAP has the regulatory authority to survey agencies providing home health, hospice and home medical equipment services, to determine if they meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation and CMS Quality Standards. CHAP’s purpose is to define and advance the highest standards of community-based care.
